Description

Vezzena di Lavarone, is a cheese that originated in the early 1900s, is an excellent raw-milk poroduct historically used for both table and grating, made from milk milked on the plateaus of Lavarone in Trentino, Forlgaria, Brentonico, Vallagarina and Valsugana.

Flavorful, slightly tangy, Vezzena di Lavarone has a semi-hard, semi-cooked paste and is produced by the Caseificio degli Altipiani e del Vezzena. It is an excellent cheese for eating and grating, made from partially skimmed raw milk.

Vèzzena del Trentino, now produced by the Sabbionara Dairy, is an excellent table and grating cheese, already popular in the early 1900s. Flavorful, slightly piquant, it can be aged up to 2 years with different flavors depending on the grazing period of the cows. Characteristics: cheese made from raw, partially skimmed milk, semi-hard and semi-cooked. Derived from NO GMO feed, completely free of additives and preservatives.

Matured cheese. Compact paste with medium-small, scattered eyes.

This cheese is part of the fresh-cut selection, meaning that the cheese is portioned practically or same day of shipment, on the package in fact you will find the date of portioning and inside the package the days to recommended consumption.

The cheeses are all hand-milled so a slight difference in weight is possible.
