Description

Exchange your XMR for a small amount of bread, fruits or vegetables from Cold Storage supermarket in Suntec City.

WARNING: KYC required. Lots of terms and conditions.

You will be required to show your government identity and/or passport, and show up physically to collect the goods.

1. Why such strict rule?

Because I am sticking my neck out to providing such a service, working in a legal grey area.

I don't want the Singapore State to accuse me for providing a money-laundering service or payment provider service.

2. Can I exchange my XMR for other items in the supermarket?

No.

First, I don't want the State to accuse me of selling cigarettes or alcohol without a license.

Second, I don't want the State to accuse me of facilitating money laundering by providing durable good such as toilet paper, detergent, batteries, etc, that you can resell for cash.

I only provide perishable goods, such as bread, fruits, and vegetables.

3. Can I exchange $1000 worth of XMR with you?

No.

I can only exchange up to $20 worth of goods per day. It is a frugal/reasonable purchase for one person, and hence it reduces the risk of me being accused of providing a money laundering business.

4. Your rules are too strict!

Then don't trade with me.

My main goal here is to provide a proof-of-concept of XMR circular economy, while working under the strict monitoring of the Singapore State. We don't want to attract their scrutiny.
