Description

Brazil remains one of the world’s most violent societies, where entrenched inequality and elitist power structures systematically marginalize the majority while protecting the interests of a privileged few. Crime and insecurity thrive when entire communities are denied access to quality education, meaningful economic opportunities, and basic social support—essential resources that both state and private actors should guarantee. The New Dawn Institute (also known as Instituto Nova Alvorada) was founded to break this cycle of exclusion. We aim to use technology, advocacy, and action to demand accountability from both government and business. Currently, we are in the early stages of building an inclusive digital platform, and each server cost comes directly out of our own pockets. Despite our commitment to providing professional training, psychosocial support, and digital inclusion, we face numerous challenges, including a lack of institutional support, minimal engagement from local businesses, and no reliable public funding. Without collaborators who share our vision, this project could wither, perpetuating the cycle of marginalization. We invite you to join us today, because if we rely solely on local powers, our platform may not survive long enough to fulfill its promise of creating a safer and more equitable Brazil.
