I am selling Monero for cash by mail
Description
Hi, I am selling Monero for cash by mail in the United States. The current price I am selling for is +7%.
Process:
Open a trade or reach out if you have any questions.
Trades under $3,000 may be done without ID. For trades $3,000 and above I require an ID photo.
I will provide mailing addresses that are valid for USPS, UPS, and Fedex. I will require a note within the package stating, "I am [username] buying Monero on xmrbazaar.com."
I do not accept trades from third-parties, meaning the person I am sending the coins to must be the exact same person who sent me the cash. Additionally, I have additional requirements for traders over 60 years old to protect you from scams, so you must notify me if you're over 60 before trading. I am experienced at detecting counterfeit money, don't bother. I advise using a valid return address.
In the unfortunate event that the cash does not reach me for any reason, such as the package being lost or torn open during transit, you will have to accept the full loss. With reasonable precautions, this is rare, but it's important to consider that ~1% risk when deciding how much to purchase.
I've seen some excellent packaging over the years. such as creatively hiding the cash within the package. However, most people do not put in that kind of effort. The most important thing is that the cash is undetectable from the outside of the package. This means avoiding a cash-sized lump—putting a bundle of cash in a rubber band and then into an envelope makes it way too obvious to postal employees that the package contains cash. My go-to method for less than 100 bills is taking a small stack of papers, such as 20 papers, and laying the cash out in the middle. I just kind of spread it around in a haphazard manner to avoid lumps. I then take this stack of papers and put it inside a 9x12 manilla envelope. Then I take that manilla envelope and put it inside the outside packaging, such as a 9.5x12.5 Priority Mail envelope. Then I always tape the package closed, as the built-in seal is insufficient. It just seems like some documents and doesn't tend to attract attention. If you're only sending a couple bills, you usually don't need to take packaging as seriously, and some folks even just use a standard First Class envelope.
Packaging advice summary:
1. Avoid cash-sized lumps.
2. Use at least two layers, such as the outside packaging and then the inner packaging when sending a significant numbers of bills.
3. Always tape the package closed with actual tape. Those built-in seals may pop open.
