I’m not British — I’m Russian-Italian, but my heart aches for what is happening to your country. I’ve last been to London in 2023, and to ostensibly “real” England in 2016 for the Queen’s 90th birthday.
In the past 10 years your country has been degraded drastically, in parallel to Brexit but in no way as a consequence. Far too many news from Britain in the last few years provoke either ire or disbelief. Free speech and the free internet are being torn apart, violent crime is almost incentivised, Britons are being disrespected by their own government.
We must save Europe, starting with each one’s own country.
