Have a Baofeng UV-5R? Upgrade your stock antenna with this higher-quality and longer-range antenna from HYS.

BNC-type connections offer far greater durability in the field than the stock SMA-type connection. BNC adapters have a larger surface area at the base of the connection, relieving any stress that may be put on the antenna connection inside the radio. Threading is no longer required; it is a simple twist on and off.

Many handheld radios are SMA-type (including the UV-5R) so with this antenna you will need to purchase a SMA Female to BNC Female adapter (readily available on Amazon).
