Xylazine Test Strips – 100 Pack (Tranq Screening)
Description
100 single-use strips for detecting xylazine in powders and liquids.
Xylazine is a veterinary sedative that turns up in the street supply, most often alongside heroin and fentanyl. It is not an opioid, so naloxone does not reverse it, and mixing it with other downers raises overdose risk. These strips pick up xylazine at concentrations at or above 0.0001 mg/ml.
Included: 100 individually sealed strips, instruction sheet.
Short version of the method: bring strips and sample to room temperature. Dissolve 5-10 mg of sample in 5 ml of water and stir. Dip the strip to the wavy lines, not past the solid line, for 10-15 seconds. Lay it flat and wait for the lines. Control line plus test line is negative. Control line on its own is positive. Read before 10 minutes.
Each strip is single use and works best within an hour of opening the pouch. Presumptive test only - a positive means xylazine may be present, not how much is there. Not a lab analysis.
