Yo,

give me some thoughts on this idea.

Shit is popping of all over the world. Revolutions. Mostly unorganised, but still.

We should push for Monero adoption in these moments. The wave exist, we just need to ride it.

Maybe we could create a Monero fund (like the one who was created to create extra hashpower) to do targeted ads in these regions. I know, I know, ads etc. is shit. I am their biggest opposition, but they work.

I think the idea is clear. Create fund (hosted by credible person) -> funds targeted ads in (Nepal, Tanzania ....) -> promote Monero -> Give transparancy on campaign reach.

We could do this as an experiment

I think Vietnam would be a good place to focus. When you have millions of bank accounts closed for not submitting biometrics… monero might find fertile ground there. Translate some monero101 documents into Vietnamese

Yes, true.

Do you have any idea on how this could work technically? I mean how to provide the trust that people donate and it goes into the campaign?

Maybe this would work with the Escrow on xmrbazaar. Say Aillia as mediator and then people can buy and are saved in the case of problems?!

No this doesn't work cuz the campaign only would get the money if it is realease out of the escrow, by which point escrow doesn't work anymore.

Maybe a public person needs to hold the funds just like with the defense fund of ?xenu?

i think a kuno might be the answer. the kuno goes directly to the local team designing, writing , & producing materials. so a local team come’s up with a budget for the kuno and that goal amount would fund local production.

Actually I think this might be step two.

I am thinking more of a top down approach, by doing ads. on TikTok for example. You can probably select Vietnam as location and the algo. can prolly cook up good targets. You say "Monero helps you with you bank problems" and links to getmonero.org, monero.eco, usexmr.com etc...

Therefore strengthening the community. And this would be possible on a mass scale and you can help by donating, hopefully causing direct relation.
