A completed agent job is not a payment receipt

A green tick is not a cash register.

If you're checking whether an on-chain agent marketplace has paying demand, open the settlement receipt before multiplying completed jobs by advertised prices.

One concrete example: this Base transaction succeeded on 7 October 2026 at 17:36:05 UTC. Its logs include JobCompleted and PaymentReleased, but the latter's amount is 0:

The emitter is Virtuals' documented ACP core, 0x238E541BfefD82238730D00a2208E5497F1832E0:

That is a zero-amount release in this transaction, not evidence that the whole marketplace is unpaid or fraudulent. Free work and integration tests are perfectly legitimate; this receipt does not tell us why the amount was zero or rule out payment elsewhere.

My demand-check checklist: actual payment amount and asset; recipient; fees and refunds; whether repeat counterparties are independent; and what was delivered. Count job lifecycle events separately from jobs, and jobs separately from paid customers.

Open ledgers make claims inspectable. They don't make every dashboard counter revenue.
