The large British Berkefeld stainless steel gravity water filter is slightly bigger than a Royal Berkey. It comes with 2 premium quality Ultra Sterasyl ceramic filters, certified by NSF. These filters do not need to be primed.
The label on the steel housing is removable for a clean, minimalist stainless steel look.

Yes, this 12L size would be the right fit for a family of three. You'll go through more water than you think and the larger capacity means you'll have more clean water ready to go when needed. You'll still only need two filters because they're rated for around 800 gallons of use which should be more than enough for a family of three, but you do have the option to add an additional pair of filters if you wanted faster filtration.
