Monero Address Verifier + Rail Health Checker - offline CLI toolkit
Description
Two small, honest, fully-offline-capable toolkits for anyone who receives or sends Monero. No account, no signup, no telemetry. Read the source before you run it - it's short on purpose.
1) monero-address-verifier (6 CLI tools, 23/23 self-tests passing)
- verify_address.py - validate an address as standard / subaddress / integrated, prefix + Keccak checksum, with --explain
- parse_uri.py - parse and round-trip a monero: URI (address, tx_amount, tx_description, recipient_name)
- scan_addresses.py - scan a repo or file for Monero addresses and flag any that aren't yours (catches tip-jar swaps)
- check_repo.py / verify_bundle_integrity.py - repo hygiene + manifest-vs-files integrity
- selfcheck.py - proves the whole thing runs on your machine
2) monero-rails-check (16/16 tests passing)
- Health-checks a remote Monero node before you trust it with money: get_info height, mainnet flag, sync state, untrusted flag, and cross-checks height against a second independent node, so a stale or lying node can't quietly show you a wrong confirmation count.
- Pure Python, stdlib only. Point it at any public daemon and read the verdict.

Why you'd want them: the two most common ways people actually lose Monero are (a) sending to a clipboard-swapped or corrupted address and (b) trusting a stale or hostile remote node's view of a payment. Both are cheap to check locally, and neither check needs to touch a third party.
