Dr Anon is a therapist or counselor who saw a special need among the population online. Especially the need for confidentiality and sympathy, so you don't have to worry about being 5250'd because you admitted wanting to unexist yourself, for example.


My background (because it does matter). Conventional wisdom says the therapist background shouldn't matter, but honestly it does affect how clients perceive you and feel comfortable around you, and also can influence the way how the therapist perceives their clients problems and their advice. I am male and Christian, though I have been agnostic before. I am not going to push religion on you because I know you can't just Jesus things away, but it may unintentionally affect the type of advice I may give you (compared to if I was Muslim). I am also white, though I have nonwhite clients.
