This is what we said in the Trollbox so far:
me: WE NEED XmrBazaar POSTAL COMPANY - shipping is so expensive :( often more than the products I buy here

iDrive:
darrolnor I can drive your package to you, but it wont cost less. Nobody here is going to be able to outcompete USPS on bulk fuel costs.
Though we could surely outcompete them on privacy. But then we wouldn’t know it was a bomb in the parcel, or who sent it.
Until Zero-Knowledge package inspection oracles exists
Or something

me:
iDrive, yes that’s true it’s nothing you can easily create.
probably it will come by itself, if enough people use XmrBazaar/monero marketplaces. Probably the only economic option would be to piggyback on existing transportation
long term you could create wearhouses in big cities, where people bring the products and then it will be driven to a different city with one load
there people could retrieve it (so no last mile)
you maybe need to pay a small prepium in xmr and it’s only available to listings with a high ’trust score’ and it would be only twice a month at a specific reaccurring time
bombs would be very bad, but as far as I know postal services don’t scan every package and people use it to pretty much ship anything without problems. So AnonPost would operate under the same legal terms, right?

Actually, with rough calculations, I think this could actually be viable. At least cheaper than 20€ per parcel, which is what I had from Belgium to Germany, Spain to Germany and Italy to Germany.

See: you pay for the parcel then once a month (if you are in a big city) a van comes to a central place and people can give their parcels. Let's say 50 parcels per city it the max. The routes are pre planned (Barcelona - Montpellier - Lyon - Geneva - Zurich - Munich - ?Frankfurt?, maybe 10€ per package

I think the best place to start is for people to mark a business offering on the Monero map thing indicating how many mile radius they are willing to ship.

Maybe if we can add a feature on the monero map where this radius is visible as an overlay, it would help people identify areas that are supported by a monero shipping service. It would take a long time to develop, but I could see it being a working thing given how many people are doing things like uber.
