Making a Wordpress/Joomla style webpage is low effort.
Leadership seems to be absent, no direction at this place.
Disorganized, unmanaged, poor quality
Not much changed since inception, 2+ years is no excuse for some of the basic illigocal desisions made.
Some of this stuff is basic website design.
Categories are disorganized
Tools should not have Crypto Cards, accounts, prepaid stuff. it should be Tools
Clothes should not have Jewelry and other non clothing items
Cash to XMR and XMR to Cash should not have Fees And/Or Markups for a P2P Trade, and Especially for In Person or Cash by Mail.
Fees And/Or MarkUps of any kind, should be banned. by the P2P
Businesses and Redirects/Promotions for Exchanges, Trades, other should not be allowed
its useless, its P2P. not Shilling a Shitty Business.
Banners are stupid, pointless and wasted real estate
boosted is stupid, pointless and wasted real estate. And its used by the Scammers, Shills and Pseudo Businesses promoting their B.S. example was that Scam Cow exchange or the gift cards endlessly promoted.
IF the Pseudo Crypto exchange, business wants Promotion, XMR should use the Donation $$$ to Promote XMR bazaar to various places. websites, podcasts and not Crypto Fags but on Normie site type Promoting.
banners, boosted and other pointless stuff is doing nothing for trades and only redirecting traffic to the Pseudo Business.
Pseudo Business, Pseudo Traders, Pseudo Traders of any kind should not be allowed to Publish Listings.
this is not P2P, they are just Promoting.

Craigslist was not this Disorganized, and Scammer Infested, In the Early days Craigslist was great.

If XMR Bazaar was a IRL place and a bunch of Crypto Gift Card Scammers and Pseudo Businesses(Cow exchange) Smeared Shit all over the place, the other Sellers and Buyers would beat the Shit out of them.

XmrBazaar is deliberately hands off and lets the market decided. i see this as an upside, if people are willing to buy with markup then let them, gives me a chance to undercut them :)

disagree they give character. i think everybody here is technically gifted enough to be able to block them if they want. you could make a suggestion to be able to turn them off in account settings.

i think its a nice non intrusive way to earn money for the site, people don't survive on nothing but gratitude so the alternatives are worse like fees per order. if people wanna scam they will regardless, being forced to at least pay up seems like a good enough deterrent.

the proof only serves a purpose if someone already has rep/identity somewhere else, then it serves its purpose. obviously proof alone does nothing, same applies to uploading a PGP and claim its owned by donald trump, if that key is also hosted on .gov site then the proof very much does works.

i think trying to ban people for markup and fees is very much anti free market :)
i think xmrbazzar has its issues but is the best we have by far. it gave me a way to easily get non KYC monero so its a success to me.

I don't think the problems raised in the OP are the main problems. I have lost interest in the site because the top listings in the boosted section are no longer interesting.
It was cool to see honey products right there at the top, or a bike, or land. That felt like a real marketplace and all in Monero. But when I arrive on the front page now, it's all SIMs, crypto swaps, SMS services, etc. Boring. As. Hell.
If I start a Monero marketplace, I would block those categories of listings and just have "wholesome" listings like pre-loved clothes, cheese, necklaces, etc. Make it like eBay but in XMR. It used to look far more inviting when it was like that.

This literally is manipulation, groups of scammers and pseudo traders and pseudo businesses are
manipulating the markets. by charging fees aka taxes on P2P trades. and this is why nobody is trading on here, haveno, bisq. maybe 0.1 % of the listings are low fees, the rest are 3+% and/or a Markup
