Hi everyone. I’m new here, so I wanted to ask before posting this in the wrong place.
My name is Mahdi and I live in Iran. I’m 28 years old and I’m the main caregiver for my family.
My younger brother Abolfazl has very severe spastic cerebral palsy. He cannot sit, even when someone holds him, and he cannot control his body. He has a serious curvature in his spine and painful spasms. He depends on us for food, bathing, changing diapers and everything else.
My other brother, Hadi, has severe nonverbal autism. He has never been able to attend school or live independently. He needs someone with him all the time and sometimes has long periods of shouting, agitation and aggressive behaviour.
My mother had one breast removed because of grade 3 breast cancer and went through six chemotherapy sessions. One of her arms is still weak, so she cannot lift Abolfazl or help much with his physical care. My father has muscular dystrophy and diabetes. His small pension is our family’s main regular income.
Because they cannot be left alone, I have not been able to keep a regular job. We need help with Abolfazl’s medical evaluation and treatment, rehabilitation, diapers and the cost of getting another person to help with their care sometimes.
Kuno reviewed our fundraiser and made it public. I also posted our family photos, videos, disability cards and medical documents publicly on X so people can check the evidence themselves.
