Monero 2033, Economy of the Forgotten

The year is 2033. By executive order, every last KYC’d satoshi still sitting on centralized exchanges is seized by the State. Overnight, millions of “verified” holders watch their wallets drained and their access to the WEF Credit System revoked.

The compliant ones beg for reinstatement, signing endless digital waivers and loyalty contracts. The non-compliant are quietly erased from the economic grid — their CBDC wallets frozen, their biometric ID flagged as hostile.

Meanwhile, in the shadows of broken cities, trade hasn’t stopped. It has simply gone underground. P2P Monero, routed through mesh networks and darknet relays, becomes the backbone of real commerce. A loaf of bread, a gallon of fuel, an unregistered SIM card — all priced in XMR.

By the time the lights finally blink out in the boardrooms, people will still be trading food for XMR under the railway bridges. Laws can seize keys and freeze accounts, but they cannot legislate away the one thing that keeps a starving city breathing: private money you actually control.

This is just my opinion, but the very existence of Monero gives me hope that we'll have a better future than those morons have decreed for us. Rather than a collapsed civilization, I can see that having access to private money under our control can help us build a real proper civilization below the ruins. Me, I'm trying to get into the food security game by growing my own food in the yard, gotta have that loaf of bread first to trade it, right?

Maybe those stuffed shirt boardroom fellers will show up in rags a few years later with a "we had no idea how to unclog the toilets at the super secret bunker, billions of dollars worth of infrastructure is now useless... and stinky."
