Which user? When did it happen? How: our site is designed so that the person who pays XMR (usually the buyer) always pays first in direct transactions?

please follow guidelines:
- Allow at least 24 hours (or 48 hours over weekends) for replies/order fulfillment before reporting, due to global time zones.
- Use this format in your reply:

Hi, i would like to report a scam.

User DewFall had a listing up for buying XMR in exchange of a payment on PayPal. I paid 2.17XMR, DewFall insisted that i mark the transaction as paid when i sent it and i told him i'd like to wait to get paid since i'm taking a risk(major red flag) and that his account is relatively new(another red flag but this one's on me).

He was pretty active up until the point i mentioned that the XMR went thru.

Alright he replied back and i might've jumped a little too quick conclusion so i will keep updating my OP if nothing conclusive came out of this.

If i end up getting paid, i'll cancel my reply/confirm that nothing happened.

Edit: The user claims to need 100 confirmations before having access to any funds coming in which i think is just more reasons to think that this user is scamming me.

Details:

They contacted me on Session saying they could fulfill my listing. I initially agreed to direct payment but their profile name here is off, and they have only one 5-star review from the day I requested that they open an order on xmrbazaar. So I asked for the payment to be made through escrow, they refused. When I asked more questions to verify that they can fulfill my listing, they said those are private documents and began to contradict themself and tried to guilt me into paying

This happened over a few weeks as I was trying to get enough XMR for the order. I started to suspect that it was a scam two days ago, after I started to ask for some reassurance.

I have added a profile warning to the user MoneroTeam because they tried to report you as a scammer.
Scammers are always those who refuse escrow, not those who offer to use it.

situation: Bought XMR with Paypal via "friends and family". User requested address in messages after payment. First said "hold on let me check". When I checked in again in a while, the user said "I have having a slight delay. I have your address. I will send you there." I told them to send their transfer within the hour. That time passed. They are currently no longer responding.

I noticed after that the user's one positive review was from someone the same day the listing was created. I have yet to "mark as paid" but the amount was for 0 XMR, so I'm not sure what to do with that.

I can also privately provide an admin with the paypal address they used (if appropriate) in case they make further accounts.
