This is a ridiculous experience, but I'd like to report it.
I was sent a direct message by someone named ChannelNews, who directed me to a site called "https://monero.team/" and scammed me out of my XMR.
There may be other victims who have been scammed using this same method.

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨
Admin "Douglas____Tuman" (with 4 underscores) is a FAKE account and a scammer. He stole my $50 gift card directly in chat, bypassing the escrow, then deleted his profile!

He is the exact same person as "ParallelMonkey87". The site admins are enabling this by allowing fake admin names to rob users. This is a promise: I have all chat logs/screenshots and I am publishing them across Reddit (r/Monero) and all crypto forums. I will make this scam platform lose millions in reputation!

Hi, i would like to report a scam.

User DewFall had a listing up for buying XMR in exchange of a payment on PayPal. I paid 2.17XMR, DewFall insisted that i mark the transaction as paid when i sent it and i told him i'd like to wait to get paid since i'm taking a risk(major red flag) and that his account is relatively new(another red flag but this one's on me).

He was pretty active up until the point i mentioned that the XMR went thru.

Alright he replied back and i might've jumped a little too quick conclusion so i will keep updating my OP if nothing conclusive came out of this.

If i end up getting paid, i'll cancel my reply/confirm that nothing happened.

Edit: The user claims to need 100 confirmations before having access to any funds coming in which i think is just more reasons to think that this user is scamming me.

Hello, I was intrigued by this user: https://xmrbazaar.com/user/Digitalvendor/ who had server that were very cheap but no escrow...
I contacted the guy but I wanted an escrow, I wasn't going to send 400$~ in XMR to someone with one review and no escrow but he said something about how he didn't want escrow because he would need an insurance or whatever then pointed me to his only purchase, which was a sell of one of the servers:

He said to contact him for "proof" of good faith as he/she bought a server. So I did but I asked him if he could send me a photo with my username... What happened is that the guy sent me a photo of a PowerEdge R720 with an ai generated note with my username (also missing the last number at the end). I did a reverse lookup and found in reddit the same photo he sent me.

Which means that both users

I can send screenshots with both users conversations, Digitalvendor only contacted me over signal and offradio sent the photo and had a conversation over XmrBazaar

Also both reported the shipping with FedEx code: 888305068658 which is also not legit as FedEx reports 2.86kg which is impossible for this server as it could weight around 20kg completely empty.

Also, FedEx reports that the package was sent from London but the user selling the servers has sent his/her location in the USA

I have done multiple trades with cypherpink (https://xmrbazaar.com/user/cypherpink/) and for every single trade, I have received the order as was requested. Great Seller.

Please don't spoil the reputation of a trader who makes this platform worth the value that XmrBazaar has to offer. If there is any disagreement, it's better to resolve between the traders and the buyers rather than labelling the trader as a scammer.

I personally label the trader as authentic and valuable to this platform. I have completed multiple successful trades and every single trade turned out to be awesome.

XmrBazaar is strictly a P2P board and never a part of any deals.
Read the ToS: XmrBazaar does not hold funds, take custody of any amount, act as escrow, or intervene in private transactions.

Withholding fees not agreed in advance from the purchase amount is never legitimate.
Your listing currently states “I don’t take fees” (https://xmrbazaar.com/listing/ndXN/). Until you fully refund all affected customers, this is zero-fee false advertising. After full refunds you are free to update your terms to state that you charge a fee if you must handle a refund/return, or to clearly warn that you do not handle refunds/returns. Only then is such a fee legitimate for all future customers. Right now it is not.

You must fully refund your customers. Until then a False Ad warning will be placed on this listing.

Reviews and private dispute narratives are between users. Platform action is limited to enforcing clear listing and advertising rules. No further involvement in the deal.

I did handle all the refunds or returns that I encountered. In addition I currently don't take fees, and I never took any fee to handle a refund, and I NEVER EVER asked for a fee in case of refund no matter how complicated the case was (especially if those were the terms clearly stated in the beginning). I sent you all the private discussions that is a proof of that. Did you bother to take a good look of them before putting a mark on my listing?

What refund I have to refund Sammy? I received 1 refund, one I didn't claim, I paid him both refunds. For both I paid him 50% more because I refunded him in XMR even if we traded in dollars. That covered half if not more than this 50$

This 50$ is one product he did not picked up that was sent back to the store, I emailed the store 2 times to resend the package but they are slow to reply...

Did you at least look over the Sammy case to see how low quality he* was as a human being in this situation? Because he failed to pick up the package he now wants me to refund him rather than waiting for the website to resend it? Did you at least look over the case to see he makes false claims about him losing 50$ or he saying I don't want to help him and etc just so he can force me to do what he wants or to force me do things outside our terms. Did you look over the data before making assumptions?

...not even sure if he wants a refund or the package to be redelivered, but if he wants a refund instead at least he has some decency about it to not reveal it.

I never took fees to handle refunds, and I never plan to, and I did refund everyone.

If I didn’t yet, is because I didn’t get yet a refund, but that’s not definitive. There is proof of the entire thing. Despite that proof the man who "donates for humanity causes and helps people with the Bible" is lying, extorts me, and his reputation does not suffer even a bit, but actually gets what he wants.. While I have to pay close to 1000$ from my pocket and get his false review on my profile and now a false claim warning from the administration.

Do I have to pay someone as well to deeply and carefully look over the proofs instead of taking the claims for granted? Where can I report you for your conclusion if I want to?

EXTORTION SHOULD NOT BE ENCOURAGED. I also have to paleblueearth.com and asked them (for when they will see the email), TO NOT reship the Sammy's product. I cannot comply with anything until the lies about me and the false claim on my listing will not get fixed.

I’ve traded with this vendor (aka_TheAC ) numerous times and I can say with confidence — he is one of the most principled people I’ve dealt with on this platform. XMR Bazaar should be focusing its energy on the flood of repeat scammers opening new accounts daily. That’s the real problem here. Vendors like this one are exactly why the platform works at all.

Evidence has been reviewed. You should review this thread yourself. aka_TheAC has never denied that he failed to fully refund customers in the cases discussed. He claims partial refunds were warranted in certain situations.
They are not.
If a fee is not clearly stated in the listing, withholding funds is never acceptable. That is why the listing received a formal warning.
Due to his established record (including positive experiences like yours) and the absence of clear scam intent, he has not been banned. Any other user found (partially) retaining customer funds under the same circumstances would have been likely banned and/or labelled as scam.

That leaves the Pink's case. He lies about me asking for a fee for this refund (and other lies). You put an warning on my post about how I took fees to refund him, confirming his lie, AFTER I publicly stated that when I get this refund (proof/whatever) I won't refund him unless that's fixed.

Interesting case and very complicated. I have been reading for hours and reviewed everything. I don’t know and cannot judge but I have the feeling that User: cypherpink is not completely honest, is a bit arrogant in his style and is simply having fun... is he honest? And the XmrBazaar Admin seems to me relatively uninterested, hopefully he is truly objective, but in the end I don’t know how I would have acted exactly either - anyone can claim whatever they want.. The chat history will give us more light on objectivity! Interesting, how everything will develop in the end. Quite a long dispute..

I have too, mainly purchased telegram accounts using different aliases here on xmrbaazar. I am simply sharing my experience with the seller not spoiling his reputation, to reiterate he used the phone number linked to the account i purchased from him to request 2FA password resets and on the third attempt he successfully compromised the account which was rightfully mine, I had terminated all sessions when I purchased the account and received the tdata, he had no right to essentially hack my account and steal it back. I had purchased telegram premium, an NFT, and had private messages on this account.

I am sharing this on the thread in case other buyers have similar experiences. Again not spoiling his reputation, but on my book he is a scammer and a thief.

FYI: https://xmrbazaar.com/user/Giftcardtopxxmr/ is a scammer. He was listing a "All gift cards for XMR" trade (removed by now, after I had contact with him over the last couple of days) and scammed me out of the XMR for a 50€ gift card.

He won't complete the 50€ trade "unless I send him another 50€ worth of Amazon GCs", because apparently otherwise he wouldn't be able to withdraw his money. Classic scam-scheme. I've set him a deadline for his him to send the XMR that he owes me for the open trade, which he saw but failed to deliver, hence the report.

This Supreme account is correlated to other scam accounts such as xmrbazaar.com/user/StegNode/ and xmrbazaar.com/user/Cameylopez/!

This scammer(s) is/are impersonating reputable traders to get money out of the community. I have personally warned Temi (the actual trader) and he will be posting here soon, hopefully!
