Elastic Night Vision Tether
Description
Tether attaches to velcro surfaces and can loop tie onto lanyard holes (small lanyard holes will require a zip tie to bridge). The length is adjustable by a friction lock. The elastic lanyard keeps it from going slack and tangling (such as when moving through vegetation), and the tension provides anti-vibration to the night vision image which allows cheaper mounts and bridges to be used instead of relying on mounting system tolerance for rigidity. Unlike low cut helmet bungie systems, detachment of the mount will not cause the NVD to slam into your face.
Two lanyards can be attached to goggles to provide a slick mounting system and quick detachment which allows for faster removal such as to change lens tint, without interfering with ear protection like normal elastic bands do.
