Founded in 1819 by François-Louis Cailler in Vevey, Cailler is Switzerland's oldest chocolate brand still in existence. Cailler is one of the few chocolate makers in the world that uses lightly-condensed milk which is added to the cocoa mass using a special secret procedure. The milk comes directly from fewer than 1500 cows who are grazing the pristine and untouched mountain meadows of the Fribourg Alps within a 30 km radius of Maison Cailler from spring to autumn. These very special ingredients and procedures are what gives Cailler chocolate an uniquely delicious taste and smooth texture.
Cailler is firmly committed to the local region of Fribourg and its farmers, to sustainability and biodiversity and to fair and equitable sourcing and practices. Cailler uses exclusively sustainably sourced and independently certified cocoa to help and promote promote agroforestry, prevent deforestation, help raise farmers' incomes, enable gender empowerment and improve access to education. For that, Cailler is building long-term relationships with farmers and farmer groups. The Rainforest Alliance certification means that farmers follow sustainable farming practices that protect forests, improve their livelihoods, promote human rights of farm workers, and help them mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis.
Cailler Swiss Milk Chocolate with whole Hazelnuts is made exclusively with Swiss condensed milk from the local area, 24% whole hazelnuts, 31% West African premium cacao (sustainably sourced) and natural Madagascan vanilla. It is also IP-SUISSE certified and, of course, free of palm oil. This exquisite chocolate comes in a 100g pack that breaks into delicious pieces with a smooth texture that melts in your mouth and crunchy intensely flavorful hazelnuts.
