Private Email Server Provisioning & Hardening (Stalwart, Self-Hosted)
Description
I will provision and harden a self-hosted email server using Stalwart Mail Server, configured for secure, reliable, and private operation on infrastructure you control. This service is intended for individuals or small teams who want email sovereignty without relying on hosted providers or SaaS platforms that scan, profile, or retain message data. All work is performed non-custodially. I do not retain credentials, message data, backups, or logs after delivery.
What’s included: Fresh Stalwart Mail Server installation; secure SMTP, submission, and IMAP or JMAP configuration; modern TLS configuration (no legacy ciphers); SPF, DKIM, and DMARC setup and validation; firewall configuration (least-privilege ports only); SSH hardening and basic OS hardening (Debian or Ubuntu LTS); abuse mitigation (rate limits, fail2ban); delivery testing and validation; clear handoff documentation.
Optional add-ons (by request): Tor onion service for IMAP/JMAP/SMTP access; multi-domain support; backup and restore strategy; advanced spam filtering tuning; post-delivery walkthrough call.
Requirements: VPS or dedicated server; domain name and DNS control; temporary SSH access (removed at completion).
Warranty: 30-day post-delivery warranty covering configuration errors, service misconfiguration, and deployment defects directly related to the delivered work. This warranty does not cover upstream software bugs, hosting provider outages, abuse complaints, blacklisting events, or changes made by the buyer after handoff.
Important notes: Inbox placement cannot be guaranteed (reputation is usage-dependent). This service does not include ongoing maintenance unless agreed separately. No custodial access to mailboxes or keys at any point.
