Description
Teva Galilee & Arts is a small forest guesthouse in Amirim, a vegetarian moshav in the Upper Galilee, about 550 metres above sea level on a hill overlooking the Sea of Galilee. Two private yurts stand inside the forest on one of the largest plots in the moshav, in the heart of the village, kept by the third generation of the family that helped found Amirim.
Each yurt has about 35 square metres of internal space, a double bed and a sofa bed, a private bathroom and shower, an equipped kitchenette, heating and air conditioning, and fast internet that works for remote work. The stay is semi off-grid and self-sustainability oriented: solar-powered heating and lights, food and herbs grown on site or nearby, and an herbal tea garden you are welcome to pick from. Some of the space is shared: the forest, the patio, the herb garden and the moshav's seasonal pool.
Wake to birdsong and walk to the synagogue, the Mitzpeh Kinneret and Mitzpeh Menahem viewpoints, the bakery and the supermarket. Amirim is known for its vegetarian and vegan restaurants and its sculpture garden, with more restaurants and Galilee day trips within half an hour. It suits nature and backpacking travellers, couples looking for a romantic getaway, and guests who want good food and things to do nearby. Breakfast is available as a paid add-on, and the kitchen is vegetarian and kosher-friendly.

We grow food and herbs on site, keep an herbal tea garden, and have medicinal plants such as aloe vera and other northern Israel species. In season we use the oak acorns from our grounds for vegan gelato, coffee, acorn flour and baking.
