Hi,

I am a newbe in the space of Crypto and wanted to start with XMR. My issue is getting my first XMR-coins. I am quite privacy focused, so the "normal" ways using KYT-methods is not an option I want to go through.

My issue is, I don't really know how to change some Euro into XMR to start my journey here. I heard that amazon giftcards are a good method, so I already got a few and put them on here, but nobody is interested.

I would love to get some tips from experienced traders how to efficiently change cash into XMR without having to go to KYT, and by keeping the scam risk low. (Yes, I know scam risk cannot be avoided completely, especially trading without KYT)

If you want to get sales, probably the best option is to be a proxy seller. As far as I can tell that's the most popular thing here next to selling accounts.

I use Haveno, it's basically what Local Monero was.

If you are afraid of scams, then just do many small transactions instead of a big one. Even if you get scammed, you only lose a tiny amount, and you can quickly build your contact list of sellers you are willing to deal with. Nice thing is that unlike something like Bitcoin, monero's fees are tiny, so you aren't losing that much to fees doing many transactions instead of a single one, and whatever you lose will be negated by the exchange difference to fiat due to fiat's lowering value from inflation by unchecked government spending.

Thanks. I will look into the proxy seller idea, as well as with Haveno. Maybe this works better than my approach up to now. I was a bit hesitant with Haveno, as the easiest way to get XMR were using Gift cards, and Haveno only offers eGift cards that are connected to an account, but maybe I was just thinking too much.
