there was a lot of talk on this, and my freshest short proposal is to add another optional way to sort the reviews, additionally to how they're sorted now, by age — that is, sorted by how many reviews the reviewer has (from the most reviewed reviewers to the empty account reviewers). if the buyer will be able to quickly check someone's feedback weighted by the trustworthiness of the reviewers in the community, two problems at once will be solved:
1) it'll be easier to bare with randomly left negative reviews by empty disposable accs
2) it'll be harder to hide a negative review from a trusted community member behind dozens of positive reviews by empty disposable accs

Optional sorting makes sense. I'd call it "reviewer history" rather than "trustworthiness", and show the reviewer's account age and number of distinct trading partners beside the review. Repeated feedback within the same small circle shouldn't get the same weight as a broader trading history.

I'd keep "newest" and a negative-only view one click away. A real customer's first purchase can go badly too; an empty account shouldn't make the complaint disappear. Distinct accounts still aren't proof of distinct people, so this would be an inspection aid, not a fake-account detector.

That gives buyers another lens without handing established accounts a Ministry of Trust badge.
