Twice a month, I’ll be sharing a short newsletter focused on useful crypto-related and/or privacy tips, not always about spending but always connected to the world of cryptocurrency !

Introduction :

Before getting to the heart of the topic, there are a few key points that I believe are important to understand. Even if you pay with Monero via a proxy or conversion tool, the privacy issue is rarely the payment method, but rather how you use what you purchase. For example: buying an eSIM won’t make you anonymous, the SIM will still be tied to your device's unique identifiers and the worst part is, the more you rely on shady or unknown websites offering data eSIMs or physical SIM, the less you know where your data goes, how it's handled, or if it's being exploited. Another example : With Airbnb in countries like Italy, a few hours before arrival, the host will request a scan of your ID. It's legal and mandatory for hosts to collect guest identification and submit it to local authorities within 24 hours of check-in. Since November 2024, Airbnb also requires hosts to verify guest identity in person at check-in .
Examples are numerous, but what truly matters, in my opinion, is understanding that paying with crypto in today's society does not necessarily result in greater anonymity in the end.

Being 100% anonymous is extremely difficult, and ironically, those who go to extreme lengths to remain invisible while using everyday services (or not) often attract the most suspicion and encounter the most problems.

The best advice I can give is this: in life, those who navigate best are neither too rebellious nor too submissive. Being paranoid is a strength but being paranoid in your private life while acting like a regular person in public is the perfect formula for living a happy, problem-free life.

That said, the platforms below are useful for spending your crypto without KYC. Some accept Monero directly, others only accept ETH, BTC, USDC, USDT, SOL and a few other ones, so conversion is sometime required.
Always double-check by looking for recent reviews or by submitting the URL to Grok for basic scam-checking (Grok has access to data from X in addition to the rest of the internet, if it finds nothing on X, it's probably best to avoid the site). When in doubt, always fallback to trusted services, even if it means converting your Monero. From experience, I prefer using a service in another crypto that's less privacy-focused but works flawlessly, rather than risking issues with a Monero payment and ending up sending countless emails and messages trying to recover the funds.

Bitrefill is one of the largest platforms for buying gift cards, mobile data, and eSIMs with crypto. I’ve personally used it many times while traveling in Asia and the Middle East, and also for services like Airbnb or Amazon gift cards. Everything worked perfectly.

- Crypto payment accepted (BTC, ETH, USDT, etc. — Monero not accepted directly) It seem that https://stealths.net/ accept Monero payment for gift cards but I’ve never tried it.

Bitrefill is one of the most trusted and stable services in this space. If you're looking for a fast and non intrusive way (no account needed, only an email to receive gift card) to spend your crypto, this is a go-to option — especially for practical services like mobile plans and digital goods.
Important note: Even if you pay with Monero via a proxy or conversion tool, buying an eSIM won’t make you anonymous — the SIM will still be tied to your device's unique identifiers.


2. KYCNOT.me – Find KYC-Free Services

KYCNOT.me lists dozens of services that does not request KYC. You’ll find:

- Marketplaces

- Exchanges (P2P, DEXs)

- Wallets

- eSIM and gift card providers

- Tools and platforms accepting XMR directly


You can filter by crypto, service type, and privacy level. This site is extremely useful if you're looking for something specific without compromising your identity.
Caution: Some listed platforms disappear quickly or become unreliable be cautious.


3. Monero.eco – Explore the Ecosystem

This is not a site to spend your crypto (except for a few listed services), but it’s a great starting point to understand the Monero ecosystem. It’s an interactive map of Monero-related projects, organized by category (wallets, services, dev tools, marketplaces, etc.).

- Updated regularly

- Curated by the community

- Helps you explore more than just the usual tools


Use this site to discover new Monero-based tools, verify the legitimacy of services, and get a big-picture view of what’s available beyond just XMRBazaar or common wallets.
