The seller wasn't scammed by XMRBazaar, or really anyone. They accepted a deal from a random user and sent the funds into the escrow wallet without first contacting the mediator and buyer. Then the buyer disappeared, and downloadable acted like an AH to the mediator. Then the mediator deleted his keys. End result: 4 XMR sitting in an effectively view-only wallet, accessible to nobody.
TL;DR it seems like the seller has some serious interpersonal issues, was in a *huge* rush to trade Monero for Bitcoin, or possibly both. Either way, not the fault of the site. Pick a mediator that you trust, or at least someone with a good reputation on the site, and be nice to them, and the thing that happened to this guy won't happen to you.
