i don't know why but over time more of my reviews changed from "by user X" into "by Anonymous" even for user like cypherpink (order #QfzV) who don't hide there reviews.

EDIT: some of these reviews also display "Reviewed listing: Private Listing" even if its still on the always public listing with the right url.

Bit of a bug in the new listings page (https://xmrbazaar.com/search/toggle-list/). Boosted listings look like they've been strikethrough'd at first glance.

In List (not grid) mode, Boosted listing is unreadable because it draws the Boosted tag-orange line through the middle of the box.

Bug Report: 404 Pages Display "You are offline" Message

Summary
When navigating to a non-existent URL, the site displays "You are offline - Please connect to the internet in order to use XmrBazaar" instead of indicating the page doesn't exist.

Reproduction
1. Visit any invalid URL, e.g., https://xmrbazaar.com/wrong
2. The message "You are offline" appears
3. The user's internet connection is working normally

Expected vs. Actual
• Expected: Some indication that the page doesn't exist
• Actual: Message suggesting network connectivity problems

Impact
Low - Users may be confused into thinking their connection is broken when they've simply mistyped a URL or followed a broken link.

Admin note: Fixed in March 2026 update

Bug Report: Incorrect og:url Breaks Mastodon Preview Cards

Summary
All XmrBazaar listing pages share the same og:url value (https://xmrbazaar.com), causing Mastodon to display identical thumbnails for all listings. The most recently posted listing's thumbnail overwrites all previous listings on the timeline.

Technical Issue
Current implementation:
The og:url meta property points to: https://xmrbazaar.com
The og:image meta property points to: https://xmrbazaar.com/img/listings/[UNIQUE_IMAGE].jpeg
Correct implementation:
The og:url meta property should point to: https://xmrbazaar.com/listing/[LISTING_ID]/
The og:image meta property points to: https://xmrbazaar.com/img/listings/[UNIQUE_IMAGE].jpeg

Impact
Mastodon uses og:url as the cache key for preview cards. When all listings share the same og:url:
All listings display the same thumbnail (whichever was fetched first when the cache was empty or expired)
New posts retroactively update thumbnails on old posts
Users cannot visually distinguish between different listings in their feed

Observed behavior (verified January 2026):
- Posted listing A (mountain house) in first batch → displayed correct thumbnail
- Posted listing B (JMC truck) as first item in second batch → truck thumbnail cached
- All subsequent posts now show truck thumbnail, including retroactive update to listing A

Three different listing URLs (/listing/XH4V/, /listing/SZtw/, /listing/zp4q/) all display identical thumbnails because they share the same og:url.
Why Other Platforms Aren't Affected Yet
The problem can be observed on Bluesky as well.
Twitter, Telegram, and Nostr currently use the actual posted URL as the cache key rather than og:url. However, this is a violation of the Open Graph Protocol specification - Mastodon is implementing it correctly, XmrBazaar is not.
Risk: Any future platform, search engine crawler, social network, or RSS reader that follows the OG Protocol spec will exhibit this same bug. The incorrect og:url creates technical debt that will cause similar issues as platforms mature their link preview implementations.

Reproduction
Post any XmrBazaar listing to Mastodon
Post a different XmrBazaar listing
Both posts display the same thumbnail.
Inspect both pages: both have og:url set to https://xmrbazaar.com

Fix
Change the og:url meta property in your template to dynamically use the canonical listing URL instead of the homepage URL.
Also verify: The canonical link tag should match the listing URL. If it currently points to the homepage, this also impacts SEO indexing.
Severity
Low to medium depending on your POV.

Affected: All listing pages (/listing/*)
Platform: Mastodon (ActivityPub)

Email verification codes are not being received when attempting to add an email address to my account. I've tried unlinking and relinking the email on the notification settings page, but still haven't received a confirmation code. This prevents proper email verification for my account.

Bug Report: Missing Newline Delimiters in Automated Listing Emails

Issue Summary
The automated "New Listings" email lacks proper line-break delimiters between individual items. This causes the tail end of each listing's URL to concatenate with the headline of the subsequent listing.

Detailed Impact
Because the email is being transmitted as Plain Text, email clients (like Gmail) must use automated heuristics to identify and hyperlink URLs.

Link Corruption: When the script fails to append a newline (\r\n), Gmail's parser mistakenly includes the first word of the next listing as part of the previous URL (e.g., .../listing/MEMF/Permanent).

Broken Navigation: This results in "404 Not Found" errors for users who click the link, as the appended text is not part of the actual listing path.

Readability: The lack of structural separation creates a single, dense block of text that is difficult to parse visually.

Technical Root Cause
Likely, the iteration loop in the backend script responsible for building the email body payload is missing a trailing newline character after each URL variable.

The Solution
The script needs to be updated to ensure a clear break after each listing.

Plain Text Fix: Append a standard carriage return and newline sequence (\r\n\r\n) to the end of each listing string before the next loop iteration.

HTML Fix (Optional): If migrating to HTML, wrap each listing in a table row or paragraph () tag to ensure structural integrity across all mail clients.

No page links at the top of the page, just bottom. Don't know if it has been mentioned before.
At times I want to go back or forward while at the start of a page, and need to scroll down first, which is clumsy.

I completed escrow order as a buyer. The order is still under "Active purchases" in my Dashboard. When I open the order, it has status "Unpaid" and "Waiting for payment". When I enter the seed phrase of the escrow, it shows:

Stage: Payout (Stage 4 of 4, 100%)
Current step: Completed
Next step: N/A

I would like to leave a positive review for this order but there is no way to do that.

// sorry, I didn't know that the seller must mark the order as completed manually. It would be good to state that somewhere...

Admin note: Traders must mark the order as completed after finishing the escrow process

There is some bug with notifications. I have email notifications enabled for messages and orders and didn't received email when received message. For order it worked, but I had just one order since I enabled notifications, so I am not sure if it is always working. This is important that it works reliably as I may lost clients if I miss their messages.

So far I have seen up to 5 listings appear on front page at the same time, by different accounts that have scammer tag. This working as intended? Any interesting listings are likely to be seen, because they appeared on the randomly picked front page listings. With the ever growing burned accounts, it's going to be filled by scammers old listings.

Admin note: Listings of flagged accounts will be hidden in the next update
