AI & Backend Engineer — Custom Builds, Consulting, & Niche Software
Description
i'm an ai engineer by day and a builder of weird software by night. 3+ years of professional experience across ai, backend, and cybersecurity.
i like doing the most common tasks using the most absurd methods. give me a domain problem — i'll figure out what ai architecture solves it best, then build it end-to-end. no team, no hand-holding, no daily standups. you give me the problem, i come back with the solution.
WHAT I DO
full-scale ai systems
- not "wrap openai api in a ui" — i build systems that solve domain problems
- rag pipelines, agent workflows, model fine-tuning, pytorch implementations
- "can ai even do this?" feasibility consulting — honest assessments, no hype
backend & app development
- python backends (fastapi, pytorch serving, async workers)
- android apps in kotlin (shipped multiple)
- rest api design, database architecture, deployment (docker)
domain work i've done
- finance ai systems
- cad automation: built a system that converts 3d models to 2d cad drawings without a human in the loop — learned solidworks and mechanical drawing standards from scratch to make it happen
- cybersecurity: threat modeling, secure coding review, prompt-injection hardening for ai systems
WHAT I ALSO DO
- neovim/plugin development (lua)
- cad development — done it before, will ramp on your tool of choice
- automation, etl, glue code, legacy rescues
- if it's weird and involves code, i probably want to look at it
HOW I WORK
- solo and autonomous — you give me the problem, i run with it
- new clients → escrow only, no exceptions
- fixed-scope work → fixed quote after a short scoping chat
- open-ended/consulting → rate depends on scope, let's talk
- mix of quick builds and deep dives
- honest about what i know vs what i'd need to ramp on. if your stack is new to me, i'll say so and we decide together
REACH OUT WITH
- what you're trying to build
- your stack (or "no stack yet, help me choose")
- timeline and budget range
if it's a real problem you're trying to solve, i want to hear about it. if you're just looking for the cheapest pair of hands to glue two apis together, i'm not your guy.

About the trader
I work with AI and backends but I do occasionally vibecode functional frontends. Love talking about local LLMs. And I like to play with crypto.
