He got me too (WorldwideLaker), though I should have used better judgement. I sent $10 in XMR to him as a gesture of goodwill for a cash by mail deal. And then excuses, near gibberish messages, and then "Sending your 10 back". Guess what? He never did.

CerezoOsaka scammed me out of $50, which again was due to me being suckered in by his friendly demeanor. Never again will I send anybody XMR as a goodwill gesture for them taking a risk on a cash by mail deal. Wall to wall scammers here.

The same guy scammed you twice, I pieced together he is the same guy. He targeted you once, saw you paid, and tried again. When did it happen?

That's one thing we should teach people. If you get scammed once, the scammer is likely to come again and do the same trick. Sorry that happened to you.

I'm admittedly a sucker who trusts people way too much. This is Monero, and you'd think I wouldn't be such an empty skulled XMR donation machine. The scamming happened with both members within a short time frame. Vow: I shall cease being an idiot.

From my brief observation, the exchange section has a recurring theme. One account gets called out as scam, and a day or two goes by, for another to come around. If left alone, they steadily feed it with fake feedback, till somebody falls for it, or it gets called out.

These two seem like lazy scams at an early stage, where they are more vulnerable. The other two, which I wont name, look more like a diversified long con. Somebody better at this, might take a peek in the exchange section.

https://xmrbazaar.com/user/Ghostswapper/ < Follows a similar pattern: activates & advertises swap services and starts feeding it with fake feedback, till somebody called them out, early on.

https://xmrbazaar.com/user/ghostlink/ < Already flagged scammer, possibly an alt of Ghostswapper and some other with the word ghost in their name.

From my perspective, this user seems like a scammer.

This is not real @virtual2p , note that the 'scammer used capital 'i' for it to look like small 'l' .

The user tried to borrow me $13 saying he's short $13 on a trade and his funds are currently in cold wallet.

Then changed username to https://xmrbazaar.com/user/Diamonde/

This is suspicious to me.

AilliA check that out before we've confirmed scam cases.

The people on escrow are the real mediator and the trader you were trading with. The trader created a profile which looks the same as the real one & he messaged you outside the escrow chat. That’s how the person lured you

That’s not the escrow flow, you need to familiarize yourself with how it works. There is a section describing how it works.

The person you think is a mod is using a double underscore in their username.

I’m telling you all, this is the work of Trevor sosono. Next time you have this person on chat, call him out.

Also even if it was real, no one is trustworthy. Ever. Use escrow with a different mediator don’t assume just cause someone is an escrow agent that they are trustworthy. They are picked for mediator services in a two of three escrow. They don’t have access to funds, unless you happen to send it to them which you did here
