Please flag https://xmrbazaar.com/user/BiggSmoke/ as scam. https://xmrbazaar.com/user/Justinchin is one of its countless muppets.

Also, their fake reviewers and commenters should be flagged. As they end up being eventually reused, as is the case with harvadloa.

https://xmrbazaar.com/user/Tempetelove/

https://xmrbazaar.com/user/harvadloa/ < Perhaps boosted listings should cost more than a half peanut at all times, since even obvious scammers use them.

EasternCapybara03 , Admin

this is getting a little bit "shoot first ask questions later". I'm not saying that these people aren't or are scammers either way but i dont think there is enough to warrant a Red warning symbol on some of these. Can you go further into explaining how BiggSmoke and Justinchin are scammers? Perhaps I am naive but I think there should be clear evidence or it should be really obvious.

Also JustinClarke has Escrow/Bonds on all his listings. Can you please explain the scam here?

Again, im not defending but I really don't want this site to devolve into "some guy said I could be a scam, oops looks like my account is fucked"

EasternCapybara your profile could also very well be seen as a scam profile too, you have only anon reviews, no pfp, no listings. No reviews from buyers even though your profile says Top Seller.

BiggSmoke and Justinchin share same contact details. If I was to guess, that particular smurf breeder has by now amassed closer to two hundred alt accounts with all their fake listings combined. As Smoke and Chin go further back, just follow the muppet trail they left behind on earlier pages of this thread.

Listings tagged with escrow are also done to avoid suspicion. Escrow is of no use if it's not used. Once you bait the newbies to contact you, you then talk them out of using escrow... and this thread is now 35 pages of mostly scams that go something along: "let's not use escrow, because xzy..." and "It's only x bucks, I would not scam you for 5 bucks?"

The other's look like they follow a generic scam template seen so many times before. And the scammers here churning new accounts and rummaging through their notepads for old accounts to draw from "reserves", they also follow this thread. So I'm not looking to elaborate that any further.

If I was looking at my profile from someone else's perspective, I too would see myself as fishy.
However, I don't sell anything. I agree the "top seller" badge is misleading, as I never sold anything, but that badge is given by the system.

Additionally, scammers here have many times collected all the badges, donated some XMR, got verified twitter profile, done some trades, usually for petty amounts with known members etc... All that just to "level up" their account and scam the first one that falls for it. Add some sweet talk in the pm's and your spring chicken is ready to willingly jump into the frying pan, with feathers n' all.

Finally: Don't feed the animals! If some monkey on their hundredth burner account comes jumping from behind the curtains on their pogo stick, looking for: gas money, bus ticket, train ticket, flight ticket... Just cause they have this urgent desire for a face to face trade...don't, just don't feed em!

P.S. What happened to this case: https://xmrbazaar.com/forum/topic/51/post/1873/#post_1873

I dont see where they share in the same contact details. Also, a lot of what you're describing is the same thing a legit user could be doing. Granted i havent been hunting these guys as much as you but still you're giving very little proof. You're not elaborating, writing a bunch of dramatic text, and just saying "trust me bro". This behavior is very very bad because of the harm it could cause in the future, and it's sad to see Admin going along with it. I'm done arguing, im out. just hope innocent people dont get caught up in your wave of suspicion. Once suspicion becomes evidence, that's when you get Fascism, and that's very anti-Monero and anti-selfgovernance if you ask me.

IDK about the details but today https://xmrbazaar.com/user/Usaitemstore/ had very shady looking AI slop listings and acc sales, it got banned today?
https://xmrbazaar.com/user/yogori4472/ using same style and contact info, so, potential ban evasion.
As IDK what actually happened to Usaitemstore I might be wrong about this.

Seems like new shady technique they use is relying on external business type listings.

scammer. He contacted me via Simplex, then gave me some lame excuse to avoid using escrow and asked for a direct payment, open a trade only to tell me: "I'm not sending the XMR until you send the product." I told him not to waste my time; he insulted me and blocked me.

Multisig escrow is simply code and can be used for virtually any type of trade, including those involving gift cards. The only requirement is finding a mediator willing to mediate this type of transaction. If both parties agree on a mediator who supports gift card escrow, the gift card can be used without the buyer needing to send XMR first.

I don’t understand your answer. Are you saying the gift card can be used without sending XMR first? If so, what’s the point of using escrow? If I give the gift card to the buyer, then he use the code and claim afterward that it doesn’t work, what am I supposed to do?

At what point do I report a scam and dispute an order? AilliA is my mediator but she's been AFK for 4 days. Seller told a verifiable lie and then went ghost more than 24 hours ago. His strat is gonna be to wait out the weekend, and then Monday is a holiday. If he ever shows up again, it will be Tuesday or later, calling it here. I feel like enough of my time has been wasted and I'm ready to dispute, but I don't want to complicate things by being premature. I am anxious about this, and I guess I'm hoping to sound the alarm and get some eyes on this. Does AilliA have any other contacts like SimpleX? Are there any mods that can reach out to her? Also, these things don't autofinalize or anything right? I don't know what the seller's (scammer's) strat is here, but he's been consistently buying himself time acting like he's got a clock to run out. I wanna make sure I'm on top of it on my end, so any advice about what I should be doing is welcomed as well. I've already documented all of the chats and the listing itself.

I monitor the bazaar every day :) I do not open an escrow chat unless there is an active dispute. Your order is in good shape and your funds are safe in escrow: they will not move unless the item is confirmed received or a formal dispute is opened and resolved. I already replied in the chat.
You have nothing to worry about. Delivery delays (esp. around holidays) are common and outside anyone’s control. If the package still hasn’t moved after a reasonable period once the holiday passes, we can discuss next steps.
No need to escalate prematurely.

Guy named Garrett was coming from Munich by train to Heinsberg, 6 hour trip to buy 25 silver coins.
Asked me to share travel costs, showed me print of train ticket. So I checked prices and sent half 72 EUR to him.

Ofcourse I did make sure he locked up some of XMR first. Admins, please quickly freeze/seize his XMR. And consider compensating me please. This is my first newbie experience on this platform.

If your XMR is locked in the multisig escrow, please contact your mediator — only the mediator holds the signature needed to refund you. Admins cannot release or seize funds.
Admin can mark the user as a scammer and block further activity.

xmrbazaar.com/listing/dbkQ/ "14 BTC WALLET"
apparently it can easily be cracked but apparently he can use XmrBazaar but not a password-trying script. lmao. offers to do escrow on another site, but not here. SCAM CENTRAL. I hate that shit like this pushes legit listings out of the boost section.

Honestly these types of listings should be banned as there is no way to prove that the wallet even has money in it anyway, and it's an inherent and obvious scam.

Reporting TheAC (https://xmrbazaar.com/user/aka_TheAC)
Order: #6den
Date: July 31, 2026.

TL;DR: I paid TheAC $855 for a purchase. Payment failed & money returned to his account. He said he won't refund me unless I paid him extra, because “it's not his responsibility”. Having coped with the barrage of insults & pressure from him, a month and a half later, I managed to convince him to refund at least $655 — he kept $200 as a "fee". Avoid any business with TheAC.

FULL STORY
(I have all the screenshots & proofs to support it.)

I used TheAC's proxy paying service to buy something on Vinted. I paid him in crypto, and he paid €767.19 (~$855) in fiat. The payment went through a bank account registered in another person's name, which I was not told about upfront. The Vinted seller didn't ship, the order was cancelled, and Vinted refunded the money.

Then TheAC claimed that the bank account got closed. He said he had recovered around $4,000 from it, but my money "probably" wasn't among it. I obtained an official confirmation from Vinted that the €767.19 was successfully refunded to his account. He dismissed it and insisted on waiting for bank statements, which a third person had to collect in person. That turned into 1.5 months of "not yet".

In his words, getting my own money back was my problem, not his: “you say refunds are my responsability but I think it's not”, “It's your fault you paid for a product it was not available” and “is not my fucking fault” are direct citations. He also has claimed refunding this will cost extra, since he “doesn't work for free”.

He also made it clear he only bothered with the statements because he needed them himself: “you're lucky I don't need these statements for you only... :))”, “otherwise there would not be any way in the world I would've paid for these”.

When I said I might raise the issue on XmrBazaar, he threatened me: “If you gonna do any sort of harm to me, you won't see any assitence from me to get this back, no statements, no notihng! so be careful what you're doing next, and what you are saying”. Also: “I won't release it without the fee even if I get banned from XmrBazaar”, and “if it escalets, I will increase the fee for the trouble you make me”.

There were also lots of harsh insults and mockery: “after all the time and money I had to spend becauseo of your shit”, “your attitude is discusting.”, “if you just stop being a bich about a mistake you made”, “I just feel you can't wait to get this money and then fuck off with me”, “Let's see if you really are this chirstian type whatever you portray yourself”, “I do not have time for this shit anymore”, and much more.

Now, coming to the "fee". He announced: “I won't release it without a 200$ fee for the money I had to pay and for the time I had to waste”. (He said himself he'd never have paid for the statements if he didn't need them for his own purposes — I don't see how I am responsible for paying for them now).

After 1.5 months of delays, threats and insults, I've agreed on the 200$ fee solely to secure at least part of my money. I told him that if this went public, I would demand the full amount. His answer: “You can escalate anywhere you want”.

So, he then sent $655 instead of $855. (As in Sammy's case, he claimed he paid it “from his own pocket”.)

I strongly believe that holding my money (which I have proofs for), but refusing to refund (based to speculations — without any proofs), while insulting me rudely and constantly putting off the decision until later is a scam. I am unconvinced by TheAC's arguments; he gave me no evidence the whole story isn't just made up. I want to warn other XmrBazaar users about this, because, as one of my friends put it, it's a P2P market solely based on public accurate feedback.

Even if he actually planned to refund later, my experience doesn't lose its key traits: blackmail, insults, threats, manipulations, attempts to pay for silence (or, more specifically, refund me for silence), holding my money hostage for 1.5 months.

Now, to be transparent: we also have had an agreement, that if the bank statements show the refund never reached his account, I will help him recover these 655$ I've received. I stand by that promise.

That said, I already have strong evidence of where the money is. (Earlier, we discussed exactly this scenario: TheAC explained to me that if a refund is sent to an account that's already closed, it fails and goes back to the sender (Vinted), and claimed that this is what happened to other people he worked with. That's not what happened here — Vinted officially confirmed that the €767.19 refund was successfully delivered to his bank account, with a payment reference number. So by his own logic, the money reached his account, and he is the one holding it among the recovered 4000$.) Until he shows otherwise, I consider the full amount to be in his hands. I want to also make it clear that I will accept only the original bank PDF covering the refund date, showing the Vinted reference number.

Since this was already constantly postponed, I must set up clear deadline to this deal. I demand either TheAC refunding the remaining 200$ during one week, or him being banned on the XmrBazaar.

aka_TheAC's mediator credentials are revoked pending disproof of the reported conduct: the described actions are incompatible with a position of trust.

Withholding fees not agreed in advance from the purchase amount is never legitimate. A proxy-shopping service requires either completion of the purchase or a full refund, unless otherwise agreed in advance. Any issues arising on the proxy’s side are the proxy’s responsibility, not the buyer’s.

aka_TheAC, you have 48 hours to respond and issue a full refund to the buyer.

I do not have ANY TIME to take care of this right now: discussing. proofs, etc. I have put my listing on "not available" since the end of June or so because I DO NOT HAVE ANY TIME. All I can do is upload the chat we had for the last month (as what's older than that got auto deleted and I was not smart enough to save it).

A truly manipulative TL;DR (and review overall). I made a dozen of payments for him (large amounts) and processed dozen of refunds ALL FOR FREE. He made an irresponsible payment, that lead to a refund right when the bank account used for that payment got closed (sent him proof of that). Also sent him proof that a former refund to a closed account lead to money "lost in transit" for 4 months (that I recovered somewhat yesterday). I know that on 28th of August when the bank account got closed (I used it until the last minute) his refund was not registered to the bank (but I can't prove that yet). All I can prove is a former refund from Revolut to a closed/limited PayPal account that took 4 month to be reissued to me even if it never was sent back to Revolut. Which means the Vinted proof of refund (like the Revolut one I have) does not mean ANYTHING unless I'm actually in the possession of the money. Especially that I contacted the bank that day and they told me if the refund wasn't registered to my account until it got closed, it won't be afterwards.

ALL HE HAD TO DO is to be responsible to do his due diligence to do a good purchase (like contact the seller before blindly paying, etc), and the product would've been in his hands right now, like it always happened when he used my service. He says it's not his fault and IT DRIVES ME INSANE he puts it like it is somehow mine. ⛔️ I NEVER EVER EVER ASKED HIM OR ANYBODY TO PAY ME A FEE FOR A REFUND ⛔️. That was only 5 minutes of anger from our last discussion, after which I made it INSANELY CLEAR that I DO WANT HIM TO GET THE ENTIRE SUM BACK.

➕ THE ONLY ONE WHO WAS BLACKMAILED OR PRESSURED ALL THIS TIME WAS ME! All the "insults" I addressed him for it are in his review (out of context and manipulative), there is nothing more to it. I never EVER EVER EVER said I hate him or something to resable that, that's a pure lie.

✅ To be able to refund him, I need a proof (bank statements) that the money was registered to me. If it was not, I need to get it somehow first. And I wasn't able to get it sorted to this day. I need to invest more time and money into it to get it faster. I DID OFFER HIM THE CARD TO PAY LIKE ALWAYS. THE PAYMENT WAS REGISTERED LIKE ALWAYS. I PROVIDED THIS SERVICE FOR FREE LIKE ALWAYS. WHY DO I HAVE TO SUPPORT CONSEQUENCES FOR IT'S INCOMPETENCE?
Rather than waiting for me to recover this refund he said he wants 650$ now and for me to keep 200$. I did sent him 650$ and kept the 200$ as a deposit to motivate him to help me get the other 650$ back when the time comes if it proves it's not at me yet. I DO REGRET I SENT HIM THE 650$.

🤚 All he now had to do is wait for me to get the money (or proof I have it). If he was incompetent, that's the price he has to pay. IT'S NOT RIGHT FOR ME TO SUFFER FOR IT. I DO PROVIDE THIS SERVICE FOR FREE! If you want to ban me from the platform, or put me with question mark feel free to do so because I WILL BE FRANK RIGHT THIS VERY MOMENT, EVEN IF I GET THIS MONEY, OR PROOF THAT THE MONEY IS WITH ME, I WON'T REFUND HIM THE 200$ FOR ALL THE TROUBLE HE PUT ME IN, AND THE TIME I HAD TO WASTE AND THE MONEY I HAD TO LOSE BECAUSE OF IT (unless I calm down again and change my mind in the meanwhile)

Since the incident, this is the disclaimer I told this to people before they do a purchase with me.
DISCLAIMER
It is you're responsibility the website/seller you buy from is giving you a good product and has it on stock, so please do your due diligence first. If you have to get a refund for whatever reason, even if it costs me extra time as long as I get the refund back I will help you redo the purchase, but if it gets complicated (lost/delayed in transit) or if the bank I use gets closed in the meanwhile and makes it a mess to get things sort it out PLEASE don't expect me to support extra costs and time to solve your refund (especially time as I don't have any). Again, it is ONLY you're responsibility to make a good purchase, not mine. I do take enough risk for providing this free service anyway.

💬 Our chat from the last month. I used Tim Vise Mozilla send instance "send.cyberjake.xyz" (https://github.com/timvisee/send-instances/). The recording will stay up for 30 days.

🙏 PLEASE read carefully that chat and what I state in this post. Then you can see for yourself HOW DISTORTED AND MANIPULATIVE his post really is.
⚠️ I be cautious trusting him altogether. All that Bible stuff and "donations for causes" seem social engineering considering his true personality: blackmail, manipulation, revenge, extortion, lying, etc.
➕ When the bank account got closed, I sent him proof at the end of august. If he wants more proof he can go to Vinted and ask what bank was behind I gave him the card to pay. I can also ask the bank if that card was associated with this bank. That can be done.
➕ In mid of September the owner of the account went to the bank, recovered the the money in it, and asked for all the statements for 3 months to be sent over email. The bank called one week later and said the satements are ready to be picked up in person at the bank. The owner called 2 times and requested them to be sent over email but they never did. It's out of my control for now when this person can go again to the bank to get the statements in person (but it should not take THAT long either). All I can do is send them an email asking about this situation and why they never sent this over email in the first place. That is enough proof to back this up I think.
❗️Until I can get my had on these statements and/or money, I request Pink send the 655$ to escrow.

The claim that the buyer “made an irresponsible payment” does not apply: in a proxy-shopping transaction the buyer pays the shopper in XMR and provides the product link; the shopper handles the fiat order side. Responsibility for the outcome of the fiat order rests with the proxy-shopper.
Given the “out of context” claim, @cypherpink and @aka_TheAC must submit all relevant chat logs and evidence (personal details such as bank account numbers or addresses redacted!).

Withholding fees not agreed in advance from the purchase amount is never legitimate. A proxy-shopping service requires either delivery of the item or a full refund unless different terms were agreed beforehand.

I confirm what TheAC's video shows. Chat transcript clearly displays his hostile tone and the absence of any malice / pressure / manipulation on my part, so there is nothing for me to contest. (If the administration still needs me to record the same conversation from my end for any reason, I can also do that.)

Here's the refund receipt from Vinted: https://files.egali.top/r/eacvmHQp#gmxFU4oqtHtk0JtWxwsOEOTfUYVK+r/YqyT5Kt6aBVI=
Here's the spam from TheAC after I filed the review, that is still going in: https://files.egali.top/r/gBoR4oA8#3ChO+fVe41RFwnS6eYU0anI3Rf/iaxY9dzAvwMcXmKg=

Our chat shows the pressure came from you all along. Your malice / manipulation / distortion is in your review/report and not our chat and never claimed otherwise. Our chat clearly shows I didn't hold your money hostage because you didn't want to pay me a fee, and you built your entire report/review on that and how I made fun of you, and like I'm the one who triggered the refund and then steal your money and scamming you whatever. ✅ When all I did because of dedicate situation was to ask you to wait (at least you could've done for messing this up), considering you say this is not your fault then as a result I don't see how it is mine either. ✅

Can you also confirm I did offer you the card and you paid without doing your part like verifying if the seller is available, if he has the product available, if he is willing to trade with you etc, considering you didn't buy from a store and from a person? ...which lead to the money being locked for a month until this refund was issued?

Can you also please confirm I sent you the proof this bank was to get closed 1 day after your refund was issued from Vinted?

Can you please also confirm I did dozen of orders and processed you dozen of refunds of similar amounts prior?

Can yo also share more proof on the ongoing spam, especially the one about me hating you so much? Me asking how you don't have any decency to distort this the way when I saw your review last night, or this morning when I saw the lies about me spamming how I'm hating you so much; because that I don't consider spam. The picture you posted does not prove anything.

Very common you have a story for why you need a refund for 3-4 weeks after I do you a payment by the way.

Anyway, can you please also share our prior discussions on SimpleX if you have them, from August?

I think the Admin is very wrong to quickly take a side on this issue. Whilst you have mentioned how proxy payments work, in this case, it seems different, why? Because as far as I can tell, AkatheAC didnt ask for a link to pay for cypherpinks item, he gave cypherpink the means for which to pay, and cypherpink made payment himself. And Cypherpinks image doesn't prove anything, from just looking at the bare facts, he probably is the one with an issue here.

This is clearly not a scam case: both parties have a long-standing reputation for successful transactions, including with each other. Had the Vinted order not been cancelled by a third party and refunded (an event that may have contributed to the subsequent bank-account closure), the transaction would have completed as a legitimate order. There is no evidence of fraudulent intent.

This was not a standard proxy-shopping transaction in which the shopper receives XMR, is given a product link, and fully controls the fiat payment, all accounts, and can deal with any subsequent issues. Here the buyer entered the payment credentials himself on his own marketplace account using a card provided by @aka_TheAC. Describing the transaction simply as “I paid for a purchase” is therefore misleading: unlike ordinary proxy arrangements (where the shopper controls all accounts and bears the corresponding responsibility), this arrangement involved multiple independent third parties: the Vinted marketplace, the Vinted seller, the bank, and a separate account holder who is not @aka_TheAC. The claim that the buyer “was not told about” the account being registered in another person’s name cannot be accurate: @cypherpink entered the payment details himself and would have seen the account-holder name. Given prior dealings between the parties, failure to notice that the name differed is not credible.

Using another person’s card credentials on a marketplace account that does not belong to the cardholder substantially increases the risk of triggering bank or platform security measures, payment rejection, or refund complications. By proceeding under this arrangement, all parties accepted that elevated risk and were required to agree in advance how any resulting complications would be handled -- which they failed to do. Because multiple third parties were involved, it is not possible to isolate a single cause among the order cancellation, the bank-account closure, and related events. The original deal was genuine. There is therefore no scam on the part of @aka_TheAC.

Charging a fee for extra work is legitimate, BUT only when disclosed and agreed in advance (for example in the listing). It cannot be imposed after the fact. On a P2P market, parties must agree beforehand how third-party failures (delivery issues, manufacturer's defects, refund complications, etc.) will be handled if additional costs or time are to be charged. Withholding fees not agreed in advance from the purchase amount is never legitimate.

@aka_TheAC’s mediator credentials will be restored once the remaining amount is refunded to @cypherpink.

YOU SHOULD BE PAID TO DO QUALITY WORK
=====================================
I stand by the fact that you should be paid for reviewing cases like this, either from the one who raises the dispute or from the one who is guilty or from both (I don't know). Because cases like these are complicated and take time to fully grasp to make a decision. And without some financial rewards you can't afford to do a good job. Which I don't think you did in this case Admin.

I did not claim the bank account closure is his fault... "I now sit and think again I can't believe how much time has costed me and fire raises in me that makes me brake the screen because I should have not be forced to deal with this"..

HE WAS NOT RESPONSIBLE WHEN HE MADE THE PAYMENT. Do you understand that? Do you understand he paid a dude without asking if he is still selling, if he still has the product, etc? Should that be my responsibility? I have to also hold his hand when it goes to the bathroom? Otherwise he would've had what he bought and I successfully paid for him.
...At least that's what Pink said. No idea why this took 1 month to refund as he had stories like these pretty often. Based on what the claims, HE FUCKED UP, wasting my time, keeping my money locked and forcing me to deal with all of this.

Now, this was an unlucky incident the bank I used got closed right about his refund. Not his fault there, not mine either. Is not like I was using this bank maliciously and the fact I was using someone else's bank is irrelevant. If someone ever asked me I told them upfront + the level of trust or closeness I have in the person who lets me use it.

WHAT MATTER IS THAT HE FUCKED UP. And I did not ask for a fee to refund him, nor I refused to or whatever distorted facts he presented. HE FUCKED UP. If he would've been responsible we would not have to discuss here right now. He fucked up and now I have to deal with his mistake. All he had to do is at least wait for it to be fixed even if this takes a bit. I didn't ask for anything else. He made this mistake, I now have to deal with this problem that is quite resource taking, and he has demands and terms and threats and special requests and escalations. And I had to waste a bunch of time I didn't afford, which made me lose money indirectly and others because of it. And THIS UPSETS ME BADLY.

He didn't want to wait no more, I sent him 650$ and kept 200$ deposit at his request to calm him down with the agreement that this will be solved without nobody losing anything. And now not only I had to deal with this, but I now had to deal with a dispute he made and to try to clear all this false story he presented about the situation THAT HE DID TO FORCE ME SEND THIS MONEY TO HIM because HE DOES NOT WANT TO TAKE ANY RESPONSABILTY. I NEVER EVER ASKED A FEE TO DEAL WITH HIS MISTAKE. His attitude is disgusting. I can't even find my words to picture this.

I lost almost the entire day with this. WHY. PLEASE SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY I have to pay like this for someone else's mistake? So in the end Pink gets all his money back, (even faster apparently) for the mistake he made and I'm left with more problems and time&money debt, or even actual possible 655$ loss, and reputation affected. Why in the end I'm the one who still pays the price for his mistake?

I warned him 2 days ago as a response to his threats that if he harms me or makes me lose more than I had to, FOR HIS MISTAKE, I will then keep a fee. If XmrBazaar is not able to make him responsible at all for his actions than I guess I have to be a vigilante about it. I STILL REQUEST THE 655$ TO BE SENT AT XmrBazaar UNTIL THIS GETS CLEARED.

Thank you for your constructive criticism! I’d like to take issue with a few points.

First, when I was checking out, TheAC suggested I use any name with his card. (This is a standard practice with virtual cards — the name is often not verified by the store at the time of purchase.) This has been the case for all our deals with TheAC from the very beginning: so there were no names to compare. I politely disagree with the claim that my lack of knowledge about his use of someone else’s account isn't accurate. Even if the name on the card had been shared with me this specific time, I wouldn’t have been able to verify it, since I don’t know TheAC’s real name.

I also initially suggested TheAC to purchase the item, but he offered me his card to make the purchase instead, because he “doesn't have time for that”. Even if he had made the purchase himself, all the parties would have been the same, as well as the outcome — the seller didn’t ship the item on time, and the money was refunded to the card. I don’t understand how arbitrarily refusing an XMR refund when fiat is refunded doesn’t qualify as a scam. Perhaps, scam is too strong wording — but it's clearly malicious activity? Eh, contrary to TheAC's claims, I have never received any proof his bank account was even closed.

Commenting TheAC's last answer, I'm frustrated TheAC is still trying to mock me and shift responsibility for the seller not sending an item on me. I must repeat myself here: I have chosen a well-rated seller and contacted them in advance to confirm they still have the item (I can share chat screenshots) — but seller's actions are outside of my control.

> Eh, contrary to TheAC's claims, I have never received any proof his bank account was even closed.

You didn't receive a proof or you don't consider it. Please clarify.

https://github.com/timvisee/send-instances/
https://send.cyberjake.xyz/download/bfca24756a25b92f/#zgbR8mje1I1lEXx7eZOVew

I did sent you a video with those 2 emails, reloading the page and doing the translation live + the PDF document. Put the card number I gave you to pay with inside https://cardflo.io/tools/bin-checker and it will tell you what bank issued it. You can see is the same bank that got closed from the email I shared. I think this is a good enough proof, but if you think it's just pure coincidence I can invest more time to email the bank so they will confirm that card belongs to this account.Your refund was issued 26 August, and that left only 1 day until 28 when the bank account was closed. I did a lot of payments and have a lot of experience with this, and so do you: if you don't believe me when I tell you on 28th there was no leftover of your refund in this bank account, you should at least be honest with yourself because you know these services will never ever process a refund less than 2 days, it takes about 5 usually.

> I have chosen a well-rated seller and contacted them in advance (I can share chat screenshots) — but seller's actions are outside of my control.

You told me this refund was issued because the seller didn't have the product anymore to send it to you, which means you paid without doing due diligence first. I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart I didn't save that chat. So I would like some screenshoots if you have them, and who the seller is because I want him to confirm those screenshots are valid considering you have a service to fake KYC and considering this entire manipulation you crafted about me in this case.

Anyway, your fault or not, I didn't refuse to help you with you refund, nor wanted a fee from you, AND THAT BE BE CLEARLY SEEN FROM OUR PRIVATE CHATS.
I only asked you to wait this being a complication. You seemed to believe you're entitled to force my hand for your mistake, either to drop everything I do for this, either to refund you from my own pocket (which I did for the 655$ out of 855$ for now)

UPDATE: removed the card number from the post for privacy reasons

Thank you for the evidence that the bank account actually was closed. I find it satisfactory. In any case, if you use a purchased, borrowed, or KYC-verified bank account for proxy shopping, you are liable if it is closed — not the client. You bank account's closure or seller’s unexpected slowness are both not «my mistakes».

I also never said you that the seller didn’t have the item — he simply didn’t ship the merchandise on time. Here is the Vinted chat screenshot you asked me to share: https://files.egali.top/r/2g6bHJvM#CUyZqKuF7irY84X/BpBDJJVNX704AupY+KCc4W/PXEk=

Just to answer you coz you called me an alt, I am an alt, but not AkatheACs alt, I know more about you that youd end up calling it betrayal if I used my account,

My point is, I understand you suffer from some mental health, but the facts that have been laid bare point to you trying to manipulate. The only problem I see here is, both you and the other guy are somewhat important to this website, however, the admin, probably doesn't use their brain, they literally block/ban someone the moment some report is made, that's not cool at all. They have to at least investigate. Anyhow, my points on this reply are
1) AkatheAC is already answering for himself, so there is no need for me to alt for him,
2) why did you pay without confirming the item you were buying was present.
Im ready to tackle this issue head on, but I think there is a way for reputable members to Handle issues, otherwise this site will go to waste.
And if it's true he paid you $650 without getting any refund, bro, you need to be thankful, put your schizophrenia aside and be realistic

MY LAST WORDS as I ran out of time

I would like Pink to give us the entire discussion he had with the seller (and the name of the seller so we can verify because I cannot longer take his word for granted for the last 3 days of his lies), where he asks for the product availability and everything before paying; as in August he claimed he didn't check while he now claims he did even if he did not prove it yet. Until proven otherwise, this refund was issued because of him making an irresponsible p2p purchase without doing his due diligence before paying the seller.

📝 A quick summary
================
No payment failed. He blindly paid a p2p seller with my card without verifying if he sells, if the product is available, etc, that locked my money for a month. Unluckily this money was issued to be sent back to me 1 day before the bank account got closed by the bank (proof on the forum)
(A) ONE MESSAGE TO THE SELLER BEFORE PLYING HIM BLINDLY IS ALL HE HAD TO DO AND THIS ENTIRE THING COULD'VE BEEN AVOIDED. While there was nothing I could do to prevent this account from being closed.
(B) I DID NOT ASK FOR ANY FEE TO REFUND HIM OR HELP HIM. THAT IS 100000000000000000000% A LIE. All I asked him after I sent all the proofs, is to be reasonable in this complicated situation and wait for me to fix it so I can refund him.

(1) In response to his threats and pushes, I asked him to be reasonable and wait for a full refund considering this mess was mainly his mistake (and if not, then sure not mine, and sure I didn't do anything wrong to pay him 855$ from my own pocket), and considering we had history (I did dozens of payments and processed dozen of refunds for him).
(2) In continuation to his lack of decency regarding this situation, I told him in a moment of anger that if he creates me more problems and makes me lose more time>money because of his mistake, I will charge him. That 200$ was a random anger number to motivate him to NOT go that route.
(3) His request was to give him 655$ and me to keep 200$, otherwise he will harm me. I instead said I will only hold this 200$ as a deposit that I will return if he helps me get the other 655$ when/if his assistance will be needed, or I will just send back if I get the refund without his assistance. I STILL INSISTED ONE LAST TIME FOR HIM TO WAIT FOR THE FULL REFUND INSTEAD.
(4) Next day he starts this extortion (check our private chats and NOT WHAT HIM, OR ME, OR THE ADMIN, OR ANYONE ELSE SAYS), breaking our point 3 agreement and triggering 2.

On my side I have to come up with those statements. I want Pink to send the 655$ to escrow until it is proven that money is at me or until we get it if it's prove it is not.

UPDATED: At point (3), I now specified the agreement was for me to keep the 200$, but I didn't accept it and told him I will only keep it as a security deposit AFTER I insisted one more time for him to wait for a full refund.

Admin after you carefully reviewed our private discussion and what was presented here, can please Pink's review be updated to represent the truth, and can you please ask Pink to send the 655$ to Bazaar as escrow until this gets sorted out? Also, do you think Pink trusted to be mediator after this manipulation/extorsion/lying/revenge/etc attempt considering the image he portraits (helping people with the Bible, donations for humanitarian causes, etc)?

As someone else who has done business with aka_TheAC and so far been burned, I can confirm the abuse and barrage of insults and complaints from aka_TheAC that cypherpink reports. I have experienced the same myself.

I don't have evidence that aka_TheAC has intentionally tried to rip me off but I placed an order with him almost three months ago and he has not yet refunded me nor has he yet delivered the product that I paid him to purchase for me. He never "has the time" to deal with this. My financial loss up to this point is not as severe as cypherpink, I am out $55. But I do favor banning aka_TheAC because he does not take responsibility for his part when transactions don't go well.

I am happy to submit my report and any evidence to the Admin, in the hope of seeing aka_TheAC removed from the platform. At the very least I will not be doing any more business with him and I encourage everyone else to do the same.

Re posting the review I put under aka_TheAC's profile:

I placed an order for several items with aka_TheAC.

Most items arrived. 3 did not.

I received refunds for 2 of the items that did not arrive. He says that he paid for one of the items (at a value of $15) out of his own pocket because of some issue with getting the company to refund him. He was not able to prove he was the owner of the card used in the purchase.

1 item valued at $55 did not arrive.

aka_TheAC found the tracking records and sent me the link. It showed that the product was never delivered and returned. TheAC refused to take the time to resolve this last issue and take responsibility for his end of things. I lost $55.

He seems to be under a lot of stress as a significant part of his messages contain complains about not having enough time. He is not professional in this way.

He also says he has health problems, seems under slept and undernourished based on what he writes.

Admin Sammy

I have told you upfront day 1 you came at me I don't have time to deal with stuff like this in case they happen, before we started anything. + arguing with you for a week to do it yourself so you have full control over the situation, for which I received a 3 star review because you don't like me on a social level.

Despite that, I looked into all of your issues only kept reminding you what I told you day one. Next day you came with this review (which I saw 10 days later) in which you lie how I refuse to help you and you lost 50$.

For the products that were not delivered I refunded you + 50% more (because I refunded you in XMR even if we traded in dollars)

For the product that was delivered but not picked up by you, it was sent back in store at the end of September and I did send them the email to deliver it to the new address you asked me to.

In the meanwhile I'm waiting for proofs on these allegation from Sammy "I can confirm the abuse and barrage of insults". So far the Pink insults allegations were not true (check our private chat). Looks like the one abused is me.

Until his review is updated to represent the truth, I refuse to assist him with anymore issues in regards to these orders (especially the ones that were not caused by me or the stores I bought from). If what I'm saying is proving to be right, I request @Sammy account to be flagged because of the extortion/manipulation, and his reviews on my profile removed.

💬 Our recent chat, as what's older than 1 month got deleted, but it is enough to prove against what Sammy is saying. We only had a real dispute since he made this review anyway (2nd October).
I used Tim Vise Mozilla send instance "send.cyberjake.xyz" (https://github.com/timvisee/send-instances/). The recording will stay up for 30 days.

Looking over TheAC's video uploads. TheAC captures enough of the conversation to get the tone and some context. Unfortunately we both only have the last month of the conversation.

A couple of comments...

I would have preferred to not have my addresses shown. I am using Proxy shoppers for privacy reasons and disclosing my personal information is a violation of trust.

A clarification. The poor review that I gave TheAC followed his refusal to help me until maybe the end of the year. Then TheAC came back later in the chat (after the review was up but before TheAC had seen it) and suggested that he could try to have the package re-delivered. That sequence of events is not clear in the chat.

UPDATE
For the public to have a bit more context about the situation because I think it's important: this was a large deal with multiple products to purchase friom the USA from a dozen of stores that did not like any of my EUR cards much and I had to work part time for this deal for 2-3 weeks with all the issues involved at the time I could not afford it. That time took from other priorities I had costed me 1-1.5 years of work. STILL I didn't brake any of my initial agreement I had with Sammy.

Narcissism definition:

**Narcissism** is a personality trait characterized by **excessive self-love**, **egocentrism**, and a persistent need for **admiration** and **special treatment**, often at the expense of others. It exists on a continuum from normal self-confidence to pathological levels, with the most severe form diagnosed as **Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD)**.

**NPD** is a mental health condition defined by a pervasive pattern of **grandiosity**, a **lack of empathy**, and an **inflated sense of self-importance**. Key clinical traits include:

* **Grandiosity**: Exaggerating achievements and believing one is superior or "special."
* **Entitlement**: Expecting favorable treatment and automatic compliance with one's expectations.
* **Exploitation**: Taking advantage of others to achieve personal goals.
* **Lack of Empathy**: Unwillingness or inability to recognize the feelings and needs of others.
* **Fragile Self-Esteem**: Underlying insecurity masked by confidence, often leading to **hypersensitivity to criticism** and envy.

**Refusal to take personal responsibility is one of the most defining traits of narcissism.** It's considered so central that "no accountability" is often listed as a standalone red flag of narcissistic behavior.

The refusal is **not** simply stubbornness or denial. It's driven by several interlocking psychological mechanisms:

- **Fragile ego / grandiose self-image:** Admitting fault would shatter the internal fantasy of being perfect and superior, so the narcissist protects that image at all costs.
- **Lack of empathy:** They genuinely struggle to recognize the impact of their actions on others, making accountability feel irrelevant.
- **Conflating accountability with condemnation:** They equate being held responsible with being morally worthless, so any demand for accountability triggers rage or shutdown.

Common tactics used to **evade responsibility** include:

| Tactic | Example |
|---|---|
| **Denial** | "That never happened." / "I don't remember." |
| **Blame-shifting** | "You made me do it." / "It's your fault I reacted that way." |
| **Playing the victim** | "I'm the one who's really hurt here." |
| **Gaslighting** | "You're exaggerating / you're crazy." |
| **Minimization** | "It wasn't that bad." / "I was only joking." |
| **Non-apologies** | "I'm sorry *you feel* that way." |
| **Rewriting history** | Reconstructing events to cast themselves in a better light. |

A particularly well-known framework for this pattern is **DARVO** — **D**eny, **A**ttack, **R**everse **V**ictim and **O**ffender — where the narcissist denies the behavior, attacks the person confronting them, and flips the narrative so *they* become the victim.

In short: **inability (or refusal) to accept blame is not just a symptom of narcissism — it's arguably its core operational feature.**

What is apparent to me from my interactions with aka_TheAC is that he is a full blown narcissist. Some observations from our interactions:

aka_TheAC refuses to take any responsibility when things don't go well.
He expends a tremendous amount of energy constructing a narrative that absolves himself of any obligation.
In his narrative, he is the hard working good guy.
Everyone else is to blame, everyone else is the bad guy.
He plays the victim in his story.

This platform relies on several ingredients for it to succeed:
*People acting in good faith
*Honest transactions
*Fairness
*Taking responsibility for your part
*Keeping agreements

I don't see aka_TheAC's conduct as being in accordance with these values.

If the moderators let XmrBazaar get overrun by narcissists (or AI bots) I think the platform will fail.
For this reason I argue that aka_TheAC should be removed from the platform because his personality type is destructive to the social relationships that the platform is built on. aka_TheAC may have done a lot of successful transactions in the past but he is clearly at a low point in his life and seems to be destroying his health, his business and his relationships.

I think it is best to remove aka_TheAC in order to protect the XmrBazaar community. If Monero is going to play a key role in maintaining our freedom we need people to operate to a high standard.
